If you don’t have a big house with an imposing front yard and backyard as well, you might find it hard to showcase your love for green. There are however ways in which you can make it obvious for both you and your visitors that your home is all about the green, and that it’s an important part of your life. If you live in a small house or apartment, you can take advantage of these tips in order to achieve a great visual effect that will not only please the eyes but will also calm the mind.

Fill your bathroom with pots

If you love plants and flowers you probably already have a lot of them in your home, but how about decorating your bathroom with pots and plants? Not just one or two, but a lot of them. You can go so far as to make it seem like your toilet is in the middle of a jungle. Usually, bathrooms are very bleak, simplistic and unattractive rooms in a house, even if designers do their best to make them more appealing. Their purpose as well as the fact that people don’t spend a lot of time there make them hard to sell as beautiful places. With a lot of plants however, it will be a green paradise where you can go about your business in peace.

Bring a fountain indoors

This might be a bit hazardous if we’re talking about a regular fountain. However, there are such things as water fountains that mount on the wall and these have the benefit of not spilling water everywhere. They are usually encased and provide a wonderful visual element. You can have it in whichever room you choose. It looks beautiful in the hallway, above the TV, in your room, or any other places that you might be thinking about. The sound they produce is also charming and calming. Coming home from work and laying in bed to nothing but the sound of trickling water can be incredible.

Have a bird feeder at your window

No matter where you live, there are surely charming birds that could come and chirp to you in the morning. Have a bird feeder strapped to your window. If you usually have a windows open during the day, there’s no reason why you couldn’t have visitors. Of course, there might be problems with this one if you have a pet or live in a place where it rains a lot.

Use a smart speaker

Smart speakers are a relatively new gadget and they are basically wireless speakers. You can place one of these in your living room and have it play ambient sounds and music that will create a surreal experience for whomever comes to visit. It will also make you feel great in your own home because of how calming it is.
