Nissan Middle East participated at this year’s Smart & Sustainable Transportation Summit as the official automotive partner and delivered a keynote on the future of mobility. Nissan’s participation focused on the company’s intelligent mobility strategy, which is in line with Dubai’s vision to become the smartest city in the world and the region’s focus on achieving a more sustainable economy.

“Amidst the world’s challenges like climate change, traffic congestion, road fatalities and increasing air pollution, we are striving towards the goal of zero-emissions on the road,” said Fadi Ghosn, Chief Marketing Officer, Nissan Middle East, during his keynote at the Summit. “Nissan’s Intelligent Mobility strategy is our blueprint to help tackle some of these challenges and ensure we make transportation safer, smarter with minimal impact to society. We’re grateful for opportunities like these to connect with leaders who are passionate and responsible for change, to discuss and create solutions that will foster a better environment to live in for everyone.”

Nissan has a global workforce of 247,500 and has been partnered with French manufacturer Renault since 1999. In 2016, Nissan acquired a 34% stake in Mitsubishi Motors. Renault-Nissan-Mitsubishi is today the world’s largest automotive partnership, with combined annual sales of almost 10 million vehicles.
