As part of its continued efforts to promote collaboration and competitiveness in offering best-in-class waste management services to Abu Dhabi society, Abu Dhabi Waste Management Center (Tadweer) hosted its annual suppliers conference in Abu Dhabi under the theme ‘Partners in Excellence’.
Held at Fairmont Bab Al Bahr, the event drew strong participation of Tadweer’s partners from the government and private sectors to discuss ways to enhance the investment climate for private sector suppliers and specialized companies in the integrated waste management sector.
Eng. Saeed Al Haddadi, Contacts and Procurement Director of Tadweer, said: “The Annual Suppliers Conference is an important opportunity for Tadweer to deepen partnerships between public and private suppliers and contribute to the sustainable economic development goals identified by Abu Dhabi Economic Vision 2030.”
He added: “This conference demonstrates Tadweer’s commitment to creating and fostering an enabling environment for its partners with the aim of improving productivity, raising performance efficiency and enhancing the standard of services provided to the community in Abu Dhabi. This will allow us to collectively achieve more success in service delivery while supporting sustainable development of the emirate in the years to come.”
Featuring several presentations about Tadweer’s activities, the event allowed attendees to exchange experiences and ideas to achieve the Center’s future plans.
During the conference, Tadweer also honored the participating entities and outstanding suppliers in recognition of their efforts to achieve performance excellence and support the Center in fulfilling its strategic objectives and initiatives. Through such recognitions, Tadweer seeks to promote synergies with private partners and acknowledge their crucial role in delivering high-quality services and contributing to the Center’s success.
Tadweer is the key government entity responsible for all activities related to the development of waste management services in the emirate of Abu Dhabi, including the collection, transportation, treatment and disposal of waste in a safe, efficient and economical manner. The Center is also tasked with carrying out pest control, educating communities about the significance of protecting the environment, and encouraging them to adopt sound environmental habits to drive sustainable development.
