In the dawn of the 3rd millennium, humanity faces a global water crisis of epic significance.
Hydros Bottle seeks to increase global access to potable water by actively supporting sustainable development programs that are socially, economically, and environmentally viable. These programs meet the needs of today without compromising those of tomorrow.
Hydros Bottle began at the Wharton School and the School of Engineering and Applied Science of the University of Pennsylvania to sustainably provide purified water to increasingly mobile, urban people in the developing world. As the company began investigating the opportunity, they discovered the issue is not just limited to developing countries.
Many areas of the United States are afflicted with poor quality public tap water that is often laced with dangerous levels of heavy metals and toxins. As a result, Hydros decided first to focus on releasing Hydros Bottle right here at home. While the plans to develop customizable filters for distribution worldwide are temporarily on hold, Hydros are still actively engaged in promoting access to potable water to the 1.1 billion residents of our global community who still live without clean water.
