Yas Mall and The Mall at World Trade Center Abu Dhabi Cut the Lights for Earth Hour

Aldar Properties’ Yas Mall and The Mall at World Trade Center Abu Dhabi (The Mall at WTCAD) will play their parts in marking this year’s Earth Hour. By doing so, the malls hope to raise awareness about the importance of energy conservation, as part of their commitment to sustainability.

During Earth Hour on March 30th, the two malls will join the global initiative by dimming lights in various parts of Yas Mall from 8:30pm -9:30pm, and turning off some of the external signage lights at The Mall at WTCAD.

Being community-focused malls, Yas Mall and The Mall at WTCAD take environmental conservation extremely seriously and assume responsibility for educating visitors on how simple acts can help the environment. Recently, the malls have partnered with the Emirates Nature WWF and the Environment Agency in Abu Dhabi to raise awareness of the disastrous impact of plastic pollution through the Rethink Plastic campaign.
