The Emirates Nuclear Energy Corporation, ENEC, in partnership with the Environment Agency – Abu Dhabi, EAD, has conducted a beach cleanup campaign in the Eastern Mangroves of Abu Dhabi.

The initiative is in line with ENEC’s Corporate Social Responsibility, CSR, framework and activities for the Year of Zayed, designed to follow in the footsteps of the Founding Father, the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, who established the culture of sustainability in the UAE.

Over 100 volunteers from ENEC and its subsidiaries, the Nawah Energy Company and Barakah One Company demonstrated their dedication to environmental protection by collecting dozens of waste. The volunteers split in two groups, with one conducting an on-shore cleanup, and the other kayaking through the Mangroves to remove waste from the water.
