The Yas SeaWorld Research & Rescue Center, the largest dedicated marine research, rescue, rehabilitation and return center in the region,and Yas Marina bring marine conservation to life with a fun-filled educational event at Yas Marina on Friday, June 5, in celebration of World Environment Day.
Guests visiting Yas Marina will have the opportunity to get up close with the Center’s state-of-the-art rescue fleet, including the rescue van, pickup truck and jet ski, while learning from the Center’s experts about how each vehicle supports critical marine rescue operations across the UAE.
As part of the Center’s commitment to educating future generations, students from across Aldar schools will also take part in the experience. Throughout the day, specialists from the Yas SeaWorld Research & Rescue Center will host a series of engaging and informative sessions focused on marine life conservation where guests can learn how to play an active role in marine life rescue operations.
Families and young guests can also look forward to special meet-and-greet sessions with SeaWorld® Yas Island Abu Dhabi’s beloved live character Sakina the Dugong, alongside a variety of interactive workshops and hands-on activities taking place throughout the day.
The celebrations will continue on June 8 in honor of World Ocean Day, with activations taking place across SeaWorld Yas Island Abu Dhabi and the Yas SeaWorld Research & Rescue Center. Guests will be invited to explore interactive educational stations dedicated to marine ecosystems including mangroves, seagrass, coral reefs and more, highlighting the importance of protecting the region’s rich marine biodiversity.
