Every year, millions of people around the world join the Earth Hour movement and switch off their lights for one hour to show support for protecting our planet and stopping climate change.
To drive home the message of green living, Majid Al Futtaim malls across the country will be distributing "seed pencils" to visitors during Earth Hour. When these pencils become too short to write with, they can be planted in soil and the seeds in them will grow.

Majid Al Futtaim malls will dim their lights for an hour, from 8.30am until 9.30am on Saturday, March 24
Also, as part of their Earth Hour activities, the malls’ websites will also run on power saving mode for an hour. Visitors to the website will see a black screen, which they can minimise and continue to browse normally. Social media users can also engage with the malls online and join the conversation by answering trivia questions and sharing their energy saving hacks.
All Majid Al Futtaim retail and lifestyle destinations across the region will be participating including: Mall of the Emirates, City Centres, My City Centres, Matajer malls and Mall of Egypt.
