In the lead-up to Earth Day on Wednesday, 22 April, the biodome will host a week-long programme from Saturday, 18 April to Sunday, 26 April, featuring interactive, educational, and nature-led experiences designed to inspire awareness, encourage everyday action, and deepen appreciation for mother earth.
From the moment they step inside, guests are transported into a thriving rainforest ecosystem, coming face to face with some of the rainforest’s most captivating residents including purple starlings, colour-shifting panther chameleons, and flying foxes, while enjoying a full day of family-friendly activities. Along the way, visitors can enjoy a full day of family-friendly activities, from eco-games and hands-on seed planting to interactive sessions led by the biodome’s resident animal specialist. Young explorers are encouraged to ask questions, get involved, and even win prizes.
The educational session will explore topics such as ecosystems and biodiversity, the Green Planet’s role in environmental awareness, everyday actions to protect the planet, and conservation success stories, all designed to raise awareness and encourage more conscious, responsible living.
Little ones can also meet the much-loved Friends of the Rainforest including the gorilla from the African jungles, andthe tiger from the Asian rainforests. These beloved mascots create a fun and memorable way for families to connect with nature while learning about the importance of protecting the planet.
