UAE circular fashion platforms, Taggy and Reloved, have announced their merger, bringing together two businesses built with a shared ambition: to make buying and selling fashion easier, more accessible and part of everyday life in the UAE.
The merger will see the businesses operate under the Taggy brand, combining Taggy’s technology and platform capabilities with the market knowledge, experience and community built by Reloved founder Annie Stacey, who joins the Taggy leadership team as Chief Operating Officer.
Conversations between the two businesses began in mid-June, with the merger process starting in early July. With both companies pursuing a similar vision for the future of circular fashion in the region, joining forces was a natural next step.
Mark Leeming, Founder of Taggy, said, "Taggy and Reloved have been working towards the same goal from different angles, so bringing the two businesses together made complete sense. Annie has an incredible understanding of this market and of what customers in the UAE actually need. Combining that experience with the technology and infrastructure we have built at Taggy gives us the opportunity to grow faster while continuing to improve the experience for our community."
Founded in 2024, Reloved was created by Annie Stacey in response to a personal need for a better way to buy and sell fashion in the UAE. It quickly developed a community of approximately 3,000 customers and sellers, alongside a strong understanding of the behaviours and expectations shaping the local resale market.
For Annie Stacey, the decision to merge with Taggy came down to alignment in both values and ambition. Annie Stacey, Founder of Reloved, said: "From the beginning, I have always believed that the UAE needed a better platform for circular fashion. This merger feels like an evolution of what we started with Reloved rather than an ending. The values remain the same, the community remains incredibly important, and now we have the tools to take that vision much further."
Existing Reloved customers will be given the opportunity to transition to Taggy, bringing their accounts and products onto the platform. For the Reloved community, the merger provides access to a more advanced platform while maintaining the same customer-first principles on which Reloved was built.
Taggy currently has more than 8,100 registered users, with over 9,000 items listed on the platform to date. Together with Reloved’s established community, the merger significantly expands Taggy’s reach and strengthens its position within the UAE’s growing circular fashion market.
The combined business will focus on making the experience of selling as effortless as possible while creating a more engaging way for shoppers to discover and buy fashion. Through technology, service and an understanding of the local market, Taggy aims to move circular fashion beyond a traditional second-hand marketplace model and closer to the experience consumers expect from modern fashion retail.
The merger marks the beginning of Taggy’s next stage of growth as the business continues to invest in technology, customer experience and services designed specifically for the UAE market.
